Sushi is never my kind of go-to meal. Or let me rephrase. Anything raw or semi-raw is not my kind of go-to meal. They give me crazy rumbling runs. But hey, there will always be something cooked and nomnom at a sushi house—Foie Gras Sushi!
I remembered first tasting foie gras when I was in Beijing and since then, nothing can pull me away from it. Anything foie gras is always great! Here’s some of what we had at Kabuto, along Geary Blvd.

Nope. I refuse to get my tummy rumbling for this but Yoyo sure enjoyed it. And I’m sure sushi lovers will.

It’s a little on the salty side. The Japanese rice under definitely helped.

Seems pretty good from her expression when she was savoring it.

Okay, this is raw and I tried this. But, this is scallop. It’s different (mentally) from the rest. It is spicy. Think I still prefer it a bit more bland.
Yes, she’s been raving about this place and so glad we went! Or I would have missed out on the foie gras sushi! Speaking of sushi, I’d love to share with you guys this really pretty Japanese place I chanced upon while roaming Shanghai.
